Cyber Crime Law

The rapid growth of the internet and computer technology over the past few years has led to the growth in new forms of cybercrimes all throughout the world. What then is cybercrime? Cybercrime is defined as crimes committed in the internet using the computer as a tool to search for a victim. Criminals have already caught up with the rapid change in our communities. And by technology it is now easier to create a crime without being caught.

Technology is a great tool for students like us. It makes learning much more exciting and easier to understand but technology is also a tool that could be very addictive and destructive. Technology could be used to harm the people around us. Technology is a very strong weapon, for with a single click it could destroy a person's future.

Cybercrime could either be because of personal reasons or the person just wants to gain something from their victims. People nowadays are so low that they are willing to destroy a persons life by posting very inappropriate things about the person they hate just to entertain themselves. They abuse the use of these social sites. It is a crime if a person then posts several offensive pictures or words about a victim without permission.

Cybercrime criminals are very smart for they could easily trick a person by a simple flick of a hand. A lot of people use different cybercrimes such as phishing which involves getting a user to enter personal information via a fake website. Then when the person thus enters his or her personal information, the criminal would then be able to use this private information’s to commit crimes or to blackmail the person. A lot of people are also victims of scamming where in this innocent people would believe everything the computer tells them, thus resulting to a great problem. They would either lose money or they would be given an unknown credit. 

REFLECTION:

A lot of people became victims of cybercrime most of them are the p[eoplev abound us. This crimes are very deadly and dangerous thus it has to stop. Yes technology could be very helpful but we must not abuse its uses.We must not use technology to harm the people we hate emotionally or physically , by the use of computers.


As a student of  STE the best way to promote the proper use of computer in UB is to teach the proper use of technology to my future students. Or I could also share my ideas about the proper use of technology by the use of seminars, debates and even poetry. I could also share my blog and show the proper use of computer.
